About this event

The GO4trail explores the rugged hills and valleys above Slovenia's Soča River, where three challenging routes climb through the Goriška region's iconic peaks. The 13km course tackles nearly 900 metres of ascent, while the 28km and 64km options take on progressively more ambitious terrain across Škabrijel, Sveta Gora, and Sabotin. The longest route weaves through forest paths and ridgelines, passes through a 280-metre wartime cavern from WWI, and finishes with a crossing of Slovenia's longest suspension bridge before descending to Solkan. Held in early November, the event offers cooler temperatures and autumn colours, though weather can be variable. With significant elevation across all distances, this technical event suits experienced trail runners ready for sustained climbing.
