Caven Run

About this event

Set in the Karst region near Trieste, Caven Run offers three distances that showcase the area's distinctive limestone landscape. The 4km and 16km routes provide welcoming introductions to trail running, winding through rocky terrain that characterises this border region between Italy and Slovenia. More experienced runners can test themselves on the 62km course, which climbs over 2,500 metres through the hills rolling down toward the Adriatic. The late October timing brings cooler temperatures and autumn colours to the white stone paths and Mediterranean scrub. With options ranging from a short loop to a demanding ultra, this event accommodates runners at different points in their trail journey.
