Postojna run

The Postojna run weaves through Slovenia's karst country, combining forest trails, shepherd's paths, and quiet roads around the historic town of Postojna. Runners climb to viewpoints like St. Lovrenc and Špilnik for sweeping vistas, then descend through villages where limestone caves and chasms punctuate the landscape. The routes explore karst forests and the old town center, mixing natural trails with stretches of asphalt and macadam. Three distances cater to different ambitions: a 27km trail with serious climbing for seasoned runners, and 5km and 10km options that offer gentler introductions to the terrain. Aid stations keep everyone fueled along the way, and there are dedicated races for young runners too.
