About this event
Hagbloms Night Race brings a unique atmosphere to the streets of Kalmar, Sweden, with runners taking on a 5km course after dark. The nocturnal setting adds an entirely different dimension to road running, as the coastal city's historic architecture and waterfront come alive under artificial light. While the distance is beginner-friendly, the night format requires a certain comfort level with running in the dark and navigating urban terrain with reduced visibility. The compact course makes it easy for supporters to catch multiple glimpses of runners as they pass through the illuminated streets. It's an opportunity to experience familiar running in an unfamiliar way, where the usual daytime landmarks take on a different character under the night sky.
