God's Own Back Yard Ultra brings the challenging backyard format to West Yorkshire each spring. Set in Farsley, runners tackle a 6.7km loop every hour, on the hour, until only one remains. The format is beautifully simple yet brutally demanding — complete the loop within the hour, rest until the next bell, and repeat. It's a mental game as much as physical, where pacing, recovery strategy, and sheer determination matter more than raw speed. The Yorkshire setting adds its own character to the challenge, with local terrain keeping things interesting loop after loop.
