Epic Trail Baraque de Fraiture takes runners through the rugged landscapes of the Belgian Ardennes, starting from the village of Vielsalm. The courses wind through dense forests, past hidden streams, and over rolling highlands that define this wild corner of Belgium. With five distances ranging from 20km to a challenging 101km ultra, the event caters to experienced trail runners ready to test themselves on technical terrain. The longer routes venture deep into the heart of the Ardennes, offering solitude and dramatic views across forested valleys. Spring conditions in April can bring anything from crisp sunshine to misty drizzle, adding an extra layer of adventure to the challenge.
