Set in Portalegre, a historic town in Portugal's Alentejo region near the Spanish border, this January trail event offers three challenging routes through rolling terrain. The 18km course climbs 708 metres, the 30km gains 1,301 metres, and the full 46km route tackles over 2,100 metres of elevation. January brings cooler temperatures ideal for these sustained climbs, while the varied distances suit runners building their trail experience. The region's cork oak forests, granite outcrops, and traditional whitewashed villages provide a scenic backdrop. Delta Cafés sponsorship promises proper Portuguese hospitality at the finish.
