Trilhos do Endevélico winds through the cork oak forests and rolling hills surrounding Terena, a whitewashed village in Portugal's Alentejo region. Two routes — 20 kilometres with 637 metres of climbing or 30 kilometres with 915 metres — follow ancient trails past olive groves and traditional farms, offering glimpses of rural Portuguese life that feels far removed from coastal tourist routes. The terrain mixes dirt paths with rockier sections, opening onto views of golden plains stretching toward distant horizons. November brings cooler running conditions and the earthy scent of autumn in the countryside.
