Ultra Wales takes runners through some of North Wales's most dramatic terrain, linking two legendary peaks: Cadair Idris and the formidable Rhinog Fach. The 80-kilometre route packs in 3,400 metres of climbing across rugged mountain trails and technical sections. Based in Coed-y-brenin, the course showcases the raw beauty of the Welsh highlands, with exposed ridges and steep ascents that demand solid mountain experience. This is a serious challenge for ultrarunners comfortable with sustained elevation and difficult terrain, where every kilometre requires focus and respect for the conditions.
