The Ultra Trail des Vallées spans eight distances from 11km to 127km across the rolling Norman countryside near Mesnil Roch. Taking place in late March, the event showcases the region's network of valleys through courses that range from gentle 11km routes with under 100 metres of climbing to the formidable 127km ultra with 2,484 metres of elevation gain. The middle distances — 27km, 33km, and 42km — offer substantial trail challenges without committing to a full ultra, while the 65km and 77km routes step up the climbing significantly. Spring conditions bring cool temperatures and the Norman landscape emerging into fresh greenery, making for atmospheric running through these characteristic valleys.
