Ultra England
About this event
This 88-kilometre point-to-point journey follows the Cumbria Way from Keswick to Ulverston, crossing the Lake District from north to south. The route climbs iconic peaks including Great Gable and Scafell Pike, England's highest mountain, accumulating 2,807 metres of elevation across rugged fell country. Runners traverse exposed ridges, rocky summits, and valley trails, experiencing the full spectrum of Lakeland terrain. The late October timing brings autumn colours to the fells, though mountain conditions can turn challenging quickly. A serious test for experienced ultra runners comfortable with technical terrain, mountain weather, and self-navigation through one of Britain's most dramatic landscapes.
