Trail do Zêzere

About this event

Trail do Zêzere takes runners through the forested hills and valleys of central Portugal, where the Zêzere River carves through a landscape of dense woodland and rolling terrain. Four distances cater to different ambitions: a 12km route with 369m of climbing, a 22km middle option gaining 894m, a 33km course with 1,475m of ascent, and a demanding 48km ultra accumulating 2,428m of elevation. The technical trails reward effort with sweeping views across the river valley and surrounding hills. Mid-November timing means cooler conditions for tackling the climbs, and the event has built a loyal following among runners who appreciate the genuine challenge and natural beauty of this corner of Portugal.
