Trail Abrantes 100 explores the trails around this historic riverside town in central Portugal, where the Tagus River cuts through rolling terrain dotted with medieval landmarks. Three distances cater to different ambitions: a 25km route with 608 metres of climbing offers a genuine introduction to the region's character, while the 55km (1,340 metres of ascent) delivers a proper day in the hills. The flagship 103km ultra traverses 2,744 metres of vertical across technical singletrack and flowing trail, winding through forests and open countryside. October brings cooler temperatures and autumn light that softens the landscape, making for pleasant running conditions through Portugal's heartland.
