Thames Trail Ultra

The Thames Trail Ultra traces 47 miles along England's longest river, from the historic spires of Oxford to the rowing town of Henley-on-Thames. The route weaves through riverside villages, past ancient locks, and along a mix of towpaths and wooded trails that alternate between firm surfaces and softer, muddier sections depending on the season. It's a proper ultramarathon distance with varied terrain, suited to runners comfortable with long days on their feet. The finish at Henley's YMCA Y Centre offers hot showers, warm food, and a place to recover. As a UTMB Index race, it also awards qualification points for those chasing bigger goals.
