Thames Trail Ultra

The Thames Trail Ultra follows 75 kilometres of England's longest river, linking Oxford's historic spires to the rowing town of Henley-on-Thames. The route passes through riverside villages and centuries-old locks, mixing firm towpaths with wooded trails that can turn muddy after rain. With nearly 300 metres of climbing spread across the distance, it's a manageable ultramarathon profile — though the length itself demands proper preparation and comfort with long hours on foot. Finishers arrive at Henley's YMCA Y Centre for hot showers and warm food. As a UTMB Index race, it offers qualification points for runners building toward other events.
