Set in the medieval hilltop village of Monsaraz, this trail running event weaves through historic paths once walked by Templar knights. The courses range from 23 kilometres to 51 kilometres, each climbing through rolling terrain that offers sweeping views across the Alentejo plains and the Alqueva reservoir below. The landscape feels timeless — ancient stone walls, cork oak groves, and wide-open skies create a perfect blend of history and nature. With three distance options and elevation gains from 1024 to 1631 metres, the event suits runners comfortable with sustained climbing on varied terrain.
