The Punk Panthers Nidderdale Way traces a scenic loop through Yorkshire's Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, linking landmarks like Ripley Castle, the dramatic rock formations at Brimham Rocks, Scar House Reservoir, and How Stean Gorge. The route showcases classic Yorkshire moorland and valley scenery, with rolling terrain that builds gradually across the day. Four distances span from 22km to a full 89km double loop, each taking in a different slice of the Dales. The varied terrain mixes trails and tracks with enough elevation — up to 2,220 metres on the longest route — to keep things engaging without technical scrambles. Late October brings autumn colours to the moorland, making for atmospheric running through one of northern England's most distinctive landscapes.
