About this event

Starting from Saint-Paul's seafront in pre-dawn darkness, this challenging ultra traces a route to the iconic Grand Bénare summit, one of Réunion Island's most impressive peaks. The 84km course climbs 3,700 metres before descending back to sea level, finishing at the Olympic stadium after passing Bassin Vital. The 48km alternative still packs nearly 2,000 metres of ascent, offering a substantial taste of the island's dramatic volcanic terrain. Both distances demand solid mountain running experience and respect for tropical conditions, with sustained climbs through varied ecosystems from coast to cloud forest.
