Grand Trail des Cadourques
About this event
The Grand Trail des Cadourques explores the dramatic landscapes around Cahors in southwestern France. The longest route starts at 11pm, following the Lot River before climbing technical singletrack beneath ancient viaducts. The course weaves through vineyards, past medieval castles in Mercuès, and along spectacular ridgelines. Dawn breaks as runners reach the halfway point at Mas de Saboth. Highlights include the riverside cliffs of Saint-Géry, the Célé valley, and the stunning medieval village of Saint-Cirq-Lapopie perched above the Lot. The famous Bouziès towpath, carved into rock along the river, precedes the final climbs back to Cahors. Four distances range from 14km with 502 metres of climbing to the 124km ultra with 4,170 metres of elevation gain — all tackle demanding terrain that rewards careful pacing.
