Set in Portugal's Serra da Estrela, this October event offers four distances across dramatic mountain terrain. The 15-kilometre route introduces runners to the region's rugged character with 448 metres of climbing, while the 32-kilometre and 47-kilometre options venture higher into increasingly technical ground. The flagship 103-kilometre ultra traverses two mountain ranges, accumulating over 5,200 metres of elevation through remote high-altitude landscapes. Starting from Penhas da Saúde, courses wind through rocky ridgelines and sheltered valleys, with the longer distances demanding solid mountain experience and navigation skills. The variety of routes welcomes different abilities, though the terrain itself remains consistently wild and challenging throughout.
