The Wendover Woods 50 takes runners through five 10-mile loops in the ancient beech woodlands of Wendover Woods, packing nearly 3,000 metres of elevation into 83 kilometres. The course mixes smooth, flowing descents and runnable climbs on wide forest paths with punchy steep sections that demand careful pacing. The loop format offers regular access to the aid station, though repeating the same circuit five times presents its own mental challenge. As the final event in the 50 Mile Slam series, it attracts experienced ultra runners looking to close their season with a substantial woodland test in one of England's finest trail running settings.
