The Azores Challenge MTB takes riders on a two-day, 160km journey across São Miguel Island's dramatic volcanic terrain. The route weaves through ancient craters, dense laurel forests, and coastal trails, with the crown jewel being a ride around the twin lakes of Sete Cidades, one of Europe's most striking natural wonders. Limited to 300 participants, the event offers both solo and duo formats, making it possible to share the adventure with a teammate. The challenging elevation and technical sections make this one for experienced mountain bikers ready to tackle sustained effort in remote, wild landscapes.
