The Chevin offers two distinct challenges in the wooded hills above Leeds. The longer "We Need To Talk About Chevin" route covers 14km through classic Yorkshire fell terrain, taking in Surprise View, the tough Danefield climb, and a loop through Poolscar Wood before finishing with a descent back to Station Road. The shorter "Chevin is BS" packs 650m of climbing into just 9km, making it a punchy test for intermediate runners. Both routes showcase the area's mix of forest trails and open fellside, with sections that'll have legs burning on the way up and hearts racing on the way down. Post-race, runners gather at The Black Horse pub for refreshments and the kind of storytelling that makes fell racing special. It's proper Yorkshire fell running — muddy, challenging, and rewarding.
