Wimbleball Lake opens its waters for this rare swimming opportunity in the Somerset countryside. The reservoir, usually closed to public swimming, offers four distances from 750m to 5km, making it accessible for swimmers testing open water for the first time or those seeking a longer challenge. Wetsuits are welcome, and the event provides full safety support with boats and clear course markings. Set among rolling hills, the calm lake waters provide a peaceful alternative to the usual trail running scene.
