Turnhouse Hill Race

Set in the rolling hills near Penicuik, just south of Edinburgh, Turnhouse Hill Race offers a classic Scottish hill running experience. The event features two compact courses — a 5.2km route with 310m of climbing and a shorter 2.2km option with 160m of ascent. Both races pack plenty of punch into relatively short distances, with steep, grassy climbs rewarding runners with sweeping views across the Pentland Hills. The terrain is typically rugged Scottish moorland, where sure-footedness counts as much as speed. This is traditional hill racing at its purest — no frills, just runners, hills, and the weather.
