The Ship Inn Shuffle takes runners along the North Yorkshire coast on an out-and-back route that winds through fields, woodland, and coastal trails. Starting from the historic Ship Inn at Sewerby, the course offers three distances to suit different ambitions, from a scenic 10k to a full marathon. The terrain is undulating throughout, with steps and stiles adding character to the route. Marshals and aid stations appear regularly along the way, and runners are encouraged to bring reusable bottles. What sets this event apart is the proper pub finish — the Ship Inn serves up post-run meals with vegetarian and gluten-free options, making it easy to refuel and swap stories with fellow runners after a morning on the coastal paths.
