The Drop is an unconventional navigation challenge that strips away the usual trappings of organized events. Participants hand over their devices, board a bus blindfolded, and get dropped at an unknown location somewhere around York. From there, runners navigate back on foot—either solo or as a team—covering roughly 10 to 15 miles without GPS, maps, or checkpoints. It's less about speed and more about problem-solving, mental grit, and trusting one's sense of direction. The evening start adds an extra layer of complexity as daylight fades. This self-supported adventure suits experienced runners comfortable with uncertainty and minimal guidance.
