The Billing celebrates everything raw and wonderful about winter trail running in West Yorkshire. This 14km route tackles the infamous Billing hill twice, with a quirky mid-race loop around Leeds Bradford Airport's perimeter adding an unexpected twist to the day. Starting from the cosy Emmott Arms pub in Rawdon, runners face steep climbs and proper British February conditions — think mud, cold, and the kind of weather that makes finishing feel genuinely satisfying. It's the sort of race where trail shoes aren't just recommended, they're essential. Perfect for runners who appreciate the character that winter trails bring, even when (especially when) that character involves getting properly muddy.
