The Seven Sisters Skyline traces the dramatic spine of the Derryveagh Mountains in County Donegal, linking iconic peaks from Errigal to Muckish. Three distances—55km, 30km, and 16km—each tackle a mix of rocky ridges, steep climbs, and fast descents through some of Ireland's most rugged terrain. The longest route gains over 4,000 meters, testing navigation and mountain-running skills across technical ground. With 500 runners taking part, it's become Ireland's largest mountain race, drawing experienced trail runners who relish the challenge. The scenery is wild and remote, with panoramic views across Donegal's peaks and glens. This is serious mountain terrain that rewards confidence on rough ground and experience with exposure.
