Rye Ancient Trails 30k & 15k
About this event
The Rye Ancient Trails brings runners through the historic countryside of East Sussex, starting from the medieval town's cobbled high street to the call of the Town Crier. The route connects five ancient Norman churches across the High Weald, weaving through dense woodland, old orchards, and quiet lanes. Elevated sections offer views toward the coast, while the varied terrain keeps things interesting throughout. The 30km option includes around 450 metres of climbing, providing a solid challenge for intermediate runners. The 15km offers a gentler introduction to the area's trails. Both routes showcase what makes this corner of England special — layers of history, patchwork countryside, and that distinctive rolling terrain of the Weald.
