Run the Ridge

Run the Ridge takes runners through some of Wicklow's most striking terrain, with routes ranging from a forest-focused 10k through Derrybawn Woods to the main event — a spectacular 20k crossing the Derrybawn Ridge itself. For those wanting more, the 30k Spinc route tackles the famous rocky trails overlooking Glendalough's glacial valley. The event caters to various levels, with shorter 3k options for juniors and the 10k serving as an accessible entry point. The longer distances double as the Athletics Wicklow Off-Road Championship and attract competitive runners from across the region. Organized by Laragh GAA with local club support, the race combines the challenge of technical mountain terrain with genuine community atmosphere.
