The Peak District Birthday Bash takes runners through some of the Dark Peak's most iconic terrain around Castleton. With 70km and 35km options, both routes challenge experienced trail runners with technical climbs and moorland crossings. The course winds through ancient limestone valleys, past historic lead mining relics, and over windswept ridges that define this corner of England's first national park. Spring timing means fresh green hillsides and dramatic weather changes that keep things interesting. These are demanding routes that reward fitness and navigation skills with stunning panoramas across the Dark Peak and Hope Valley.
