Ölands Marathon

Ölands Marathon takes runners through the quiet northern reaches of Öland island, starting and finishing at Löttorp's central square. The fully paved 42.2km course loops through farmland and coastal stretches where glimpses of Kalmarsund appear between fields. It's deliberately flat and fast, designed for runners chasing personal bests rather than dramatic elevation. The small-scale format means no jostling crowds at the start line, just a straightforward marathon through rural Swedish landscapes. Three aid stations per lap provide the essentials, and runners can drop off personal nutrition beforehand. Basic cabin accommodation is available nearby at Högby IP for those making a weekend of it.
