Set against the dramatic backdrop of the Austrian Alps, the Innsbruck Alpine Trailrun Festival brings together runners of all levels for a weekend celebration of mountain running. The event offers an impressive range of distances, from a beginner-friendly 7km night trail through the city to the epic K110 that climbs over 5,600 metres through high alpine terrain. Mid-range options like the K42 and K65 showcase classic Tyrolean trails with sustained climbs and technical descents, while the vertical kilometre challenges provide a pure test of climbing strength. The festival atmosphere in Innsbruck's historic centre adds to the experience, with the medieval old town serving as both start and finish. With ten different race options, it's designed to accommodate everyone from first-timers to ultra veterans.
