BigSky Trails (AIR)

BigSky Trails wraps up the Classic Element Trail Series with a celebration of the New Forest's wide-open landscapes. Starting at sunrise from Hyde Common, runners tackle either 18 miles or a full marathon through this Southern England gem. The route weaves across sweeping heathland, ancient woodland, and forest paths where wild ponies and deer wander freely, while birds of prey drift overhead. The morning light catches the open terrain beautifully, making for some memorable views. The course is well-marked and supported throughout, finishing with a ridge-top stretch along Hampton Ridge before returning to Hyde Common. It's a proper National Park trail run with that peaceful, natural atmosphere the New Forest does so well.
