ATW Holdenby House Duathlon
About this event
Set within the sprawling 2,000-acre Holdenby Estate in Northamptonshire, this duathlon unfolds around a historic 16th-century house with royal connections — once a palace to King James I, later a prison for King Charles I. The run course weaves through manicured gardens and open farmland with sweeping countryside views, all on traffic-free trails. Between runs, athletes tackle laps on rolling country roads that showcase the estate's scenic surroundings. The Sprint distance covers a 5.4km run, 19km bike, and another 5.4km run, while the Standard doubles the opening run and bike segments. Relay options are available for those wanting to share the challenge. The course finishes dramatically in front of the historic house, where all finishers receive a medal and goodies.
