Atea Kalmarmilen

The Atea Kalmarmilen offers runners a scenic tour of Kalmar's most beautiful corners. This 10K course starts at Teatervallen and winds past the imposing Kalmar Castle, through the natural beauty of Stensö, and into the historic streets of Gamla Stan. The route continues along the waterfront, passing the harbor, Fredrikskans, Lindö, and Ängö before returning to Kvarnholmen. The final stretch down Storgatan brings runners through a tunnel of cheering spectators before the finish at Larmtorget. While the distance suits beginners, the course attracts runners of all levels. The event also includes the Lilla Atea Kalmarmilen for young runners aged 2–13, making it a welcoming day out for families.
