ZWELA BAWOUDè brings trail runners to Trinité in Martinique for an authentic Caribbean mountain experience. The event offers two distinct challenges: a 30km route with 716 metres of climbing for those stepping up their trail game, and a more demanding 55km course with 1,341 metres of elevation gain. Set against the backdrop of Martinique's lush tropical forests and volcanic terrain, runners explore the island's rugged interior through a mix of technical single track and exposed ridgelines. The October date catches the tail end of the rainy season, when the vegetation is at its most vibrant and the trails are alive with colour. This event showcases a side of the French Caribbean that few visitors experience.
