Xterra Trail Vallée de Joux

Set in the watchmaking heartland of the Vallée de Joux, this October trail running event showcases the understated beauty of the Jura mountains. Three courses traverse the valley's characteristic landscape of alpine pastures, dense forests, and open ridgelines. The 22km route offers 773 metres of climbing, while the 36km steps up to 1,786 metres of elevation gain. The 58km challenge takes on 2,717 metres across the rolling Jura terrain. Unlike the dramatic peaks of the high Alps, this region draws runners with its quieter charm — pristine lakes, forested ridges, and a peaceful mountain atmosphere that feels worlds away from busier ranges.
