Morobbia Trail

The Morobbia Trail ventures deep into one of Switzerland's wildest valleys, where smugglers once crossed into Italy through the historic San Jorio Pass. Runners choose between a 14km route with 1,286 metres of climbing or the full 33km challenge gaining 2,336 metres, both starting and finishing in the village of Pianezzo. The valley remains remarkably untouched, home to wolves and steep forested slopes that give way to high alpine terrain near the border. After the run, live music and celebrations back in the village bring the trail community together for a proper finish to the day.
