Valls del Freser

Valls del Freser explores the verdant valleys and forests of the Eastern Pyrenees, centred around the mountain town of Ribes de Freser in Catalonia. The route weaves through the peaks surrounding Vall de Ribes and the high valley of Núria, passing through beech and pine forests home to local wildlife. Two challenging options are on offer: a 26-kilometre course with 1,520 metres of climbing, and a tougher 34-kilometre route gaining 1,795 metres. The terrain ranges from forested single-track to open alpine sections, showcasing an extensive network of trails that feel refreshingly wild. Late September brings pleasant temperatures and the first hints of autumn colour to these quieter Pyrenean peaks.
