The Val Maremola Trail winds through the Ligurian hills above Pietra Ligure, following the scenic Terre Alte trail toward Colle Melogno before descending to Verezzi. Though staying below 900 metres, the routes pack in substantial climbing — from 675m over 15km to a demanding 3,082m across the 54km ultra. Runners pass through rolling terrain with sweeping views of the western Ligurian coast before finishing in the historic Piazza San Nicolò. Now in its 15th edition, this February fixture offers four distances (15km, 23km, 35km, 54km), each showcasing the character of these coastal hills where Mediterranean landscapes meet proper mountain trails.
