The Ultratrail Fränkische Schweiz explores the rugged limestone landscapes of Franconian Switzerland, starting from Ebermannstadt. Four distances — 15km, 34km, 67km, and 102km — wind through dramatic valleys and past medieval castles perched on clifftops, showcasing the region's distinctive rocky terrain and forested trails. The 15km route with 568 metres of climbing offers a taste of the area's character, while the 102km ultra delivers over 4,200 metres of elevation across technical, challenging terrain. Mid-April timing brings crisp conditions and the chance to see the region's famous cherry blossoms dotting the hillsides, adding a striking contrast to the grey limestone crags above.
