Based in Giromagny in the Vosges mountains, Belfortrail offers four distances from 13km to 57km, each exploring the region's distinctive ridgeline terrain. Routes venture up to Ballon d'Alsace, crossing high pastures and technical forest trails with significant elevation gain — the 57km course climbs 3,300 metres. The terrain links mountain lakes, alpine meadows, and rocky ridge sections that require solid technical skills. Aid stations positioned at key points like La Chaumière support runners through sustained climbs and challenging descents. This mid-October event suits experienced mountain runners ready for the varied, demanding character of the Vosges.
