Trail Sud Touraine explores the rolling hills and valleys of southern Touraine through two distinct routes. The 23km course winds through pastoral landscapes and passes the impressive Château du Grand-Pressigny, offering a taste of this lesser-known corner of the Loire Valley. The 51km option — run solo or as a duo team — ventures deeper into the Claise valley, where technical singletrack and steep climbs challenge experienced runners. Duo teams stay together throughout, sharing the experience of navigating woodland trails and refueling at country aid stations serving local specialties like goat cheese and soup. The terrain alternates between runnable sections and hands-on scrambles, creating a genuinely remote feel despite the region's proximity to historic Loire châteaux.
