Starting from the medieval town of Le Puy-en-Velay, this event traces portions of the legendary Santiago de Compostela pilgrimage route through France's volcanic Haute-Loire region. Runners traverse ancient forest paths and rolling hills steeped in centuries of history, with six distances ranging from a welcoming 12km option perfect for newcomers to a challenging 139km ultra. The beginner-friendly routes showcase the region's distinctive chibottes (traditional stone shepherds' huts) and offer genuine trail running without requiring mountain experience.
