Trail Costa di Trex

Set in the hills around historic Assisi, the Trail Costa di Trex offers runners a chance to explore the Umbrian countryside where Saint Francis once walked. The course winds through olive groves and medieval paths, with views stretching across the valley below. Two distances are available: a 13km route perfect for those newer to trail running, and a more challenging 25km option that digs deeper into the surrounding terrain. The August timing means warm conditions, but early starts help runners make the most of the morning light. It's a beautiful way to discover this corner of central Italy, combining cultural heritage with natural landscapes.
