Roca Parda Trail ventures deep into Els Ports, a wild mountain range in Castellón province where rocky trails weave through ravines and dry riverbeds. The 43-kilometre route links three mountain villages — Cinctorres, Castellfort, and Portell — threading through terrain that feels beautifully remote. With 2000 metres of climbing, this is technical, demanding country that rewards experienced runners comfortable on rough ground. The event keeps its authentic character, organised by locals who know these mountains inside out. Late October brings crisp autumn air to this lesser-known corner of inland Spain, where the trails are genuine and the landscape uncompromising.
