About this event
Puglia by UTMB brings trail running to Italy's stunning southern coastline, where limestone cliffs meet the Ionian Sea. The courses wind through ancient ravines, Mediterranean forests, and coastal hills, with the longer routes venturing to the iconic sassi of Matera. Five distances cater to everyone from first-timers to seasoned ultrarunners. The beginner-friendly 10km Costa Verde Trail offers a gentle introduction along the coast, while the 140km route tackles nearly 4000m of climbing through some of southern Italy's most dramatic landscapes. Based in Castellaneta Marina, runners enjoy post-race access to beaches, local trattorias, and the warm hospitality Puglia is known for.
