About this event

The Podone Skytrail explores the highest ridges of the lower Seriana Valley near Bergamo, offering two distances through forests, open trails, and scenic crests. The 23km route follows a loop past historic landmarks including the ancient Via Mercatorum trading path, the Zuccarello sanctuary in Nembro, and San Barnaba in the picturesque village of Salmezza, birthplace of painter Enea Salmeggia. Technical descents and steady climbing through mixed terrain reward runners with sweeping valley views and a genuine taste of the region's cultural heritage. The shorter 14km option covers similar terrain with over 1,000 metres of climbing, while the longer route tackles nearly 1,800 metres — both delivering an authentic mountain running experience in the Bergamo Alps.
