Oliena Sky Trail

Set in Sardinia's rugged Supramonte mountains, the Oliena Sky Trail threads through limestone peaks and ancient shepherding paths above the traditional village of Oliena. Four distances cater to different ambitions: the 6km, 17km, and 24km routes welcome newer trail runners to this distinctive landscape, while the 50km challenges experienced runners with over 3,200 metres of climbing through wild Mediterranean terrain. Each course explores the same dramatic scenery of karst formations and high ridges that have shaped local shepherding culture for centuries. Late September brings milder temperatures for tackling these climbs, and the village itself — known for its wine and Sardinian traditions — adds cultural flavour to race weekend.
